TILT

The shock to my system of having to get up early every morning and commute to work combined with the tail end of my cold, U working late every night this week, and just far too many things on my plate has me rather grumpy. But there are plenty of things to smile about too, when I make myself remember them!

Things I'm loving this Thursday:
- laughing with coworkers
- May flowers!
- the fact that just about any verb in Japanese can be turned from something you do to something done to you (see below!)
- one of the school boys we pass every morning on the way to the station randomly saying good morning to us (in Japanese!!)
- friends' new baby pics on Facebook

  1. I love the profusion of flowers in pots, too, and the summer festivals that start this weekend, and the impossible-to-describe green of the ginkgo trees. ^^

PS: If you're still feeling grumpy, slurp a chocolate! :D

    1. Living flowers even better than slurped chocolate! I took your advice and went to Kyu-Furukawa teien as they are currently open late and lit up for the rose festival. Still mostly buds but gorgeous nonetheless!

    2. It's already time for roses? My internal seasonal clock isn't functioning properly this year: it's just been too cold for too long.

Thanks for this reminder. I need to get my butt over there as soon as the sun reappears. ^^

    3. I look forward to your photos! The evening light up is only for a few more days, but worth it!
