I know the cultural importance and the idea of the impermanence of life and all that, but why should cherry blossoms get all the love when there are azaleas and irises and roses and hydrangeas to be appreciated too?!?
This is the ajisai in our mini-garden. If I can remember to do it, I want to take regular pictures. Trouble is I'm not at my best in the morning and it tends to be dark by the time I get home...
My grandma had two big hydrangeas outside her house too.
This photo has just made me realize that an ajisai doesn't have to be in full bloom to be beautiful!
ReplyDeletePS: I love ajisai. It's my mother's favourite flower, too, so it always makes me miss her.
