Achan - yes, it was for grad! My friend and I were among the few grad students in hakama, but I loved it! (my first choice was for zori actually, but I was told I was too tall and since the hakama is worn higher with boots that was what I was told I was being given, in hindsight, however, I am so glad I had boots and not zori!!)
